Stolen Brushstrokes

Project: Article design

In this editorial design project, I explored the tension between human creativity and artificial intelligence. I chose an article that questioned how AI replicates and appropriates human-made art. Inspired by its unsettling theme, I used a distorted zigzag typeface and incorporated AI-generated versions of iconic paintings like the Mona Lisa and Van Gogh’s self-portrait. During printing, I manually disrupted the image feed to create eerie visual glitches. The final touch was a blurred photograph of a figure wrapped in aluminum, resembling a humanoid machine. The result is a magazine spread that feels both futuristic and unnerving—mirroring the article’s core message.
